Conflict is necessary part of life. Our evolution requires it. It is in essence a form of inter-relationship energy, that can be harnessed for constructively advancing competing agendas. It is only when it becomes hard to manage by those involved that its destructive nature becomes apparent.
Control is key to conflict management. It is achieved by a combination of learning and experience.
Knowing what needs to be done is not the same as knowing what to do.
Conflict Prevention coaching prepares the individual for situations where their actions and behaviour will be influenced primarily by their training and less by the stresses being placed upon them as a result of conflict. It also prepares them by giving them an understanding of how conflict develops and how its effects can be mitigated before it becomes apparent to the untrained eye.
Training in conflcit prevention gives the individual a greater sense of tolerance and an ability to actively listen and understand opposing points of view.
